Popular Instagram Comedian, Mr. Macaroni alongside other protesters arrested by the Lagos state police command on Saturday morning, have been subjected to inhumane conditions.  In footage shared online by actor, Yomi Fabiyi, Macaroni is seen without a shirt crammed with other arrested protesters in a small bus. Some of the protesters had their hands tied behind their backs.  The video has generated negative reactions from Nigerians, condemning the police for subjecting the protesters to such terrible conditions. POLITICS NIGERIA earlier reported that over 20 protesters have so far been arrested by the Lagos police command.   “This is DE-HUMANIZING and UNACCEPTABLE. Every human being must be treated with dignity and respect.”   “This is how peaceful protesters are been treated. On whose order? Fellow citizens treating other fellow citizens this way. No crimes committed, just peaceful protesters in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. IN DEEP TEARS.” fabiyi wrote.  Watch The Footage Below;

Popular comedian, Debo Adebayo alias Mr. Macaroni and ten other protesters have been reportedly arrested by Police as #OccupyLekkiTollgate protest begins at Lekki tollgate today.

Macaroni joined the protest against the planned reopening of the Lekki tollgate following alleged killing of protesters on 20th October 2020.


The protesters who are against the reopening of the tollgate are insisting that families of those who lost their lives at the tollgate on 20th October 2020 must get justice before the tollgate can reopen.



Mr. Macaroni was spotted in a police van after he went Live on his official Instagram page following the arrest.
