TO BE A WHALE; YOU’VE GOT TO WAIT
An article written in honor
of Apostle Bamilaw’s birthday.
Hello readers, it’s been an encouraging thing that
in this age some folks still grasp the realities in reading, still a reader,
assured you are a leader! Straight to business “To be a whale: you’ve got to
wait”. First, Whales are the largest mammals in the world. The
largest whale species is the blue whale and since it can
measure till 30 meters and weigh more than 100 tons. This whale species is
also the largest animal that exists in the planet.
Whales exhibit a strong social pattern.
They live in groups. So, whale in this context means to be a voice, it also
means to be noticeable, to be heard, to be great and so on. To some extent I have dealt with who whales are
and what it means to be a ‘whale’ so, what does it means to wait? To wait
according to the oxford dictionary, it is to stay where one is, or delay action
until a particular time or occurrence. To wait means to hold back, to hold up,
to stand by, and to mark time and so on. To wait or waiting takes time.
One of the ways of waiting
is through MEDITATION, what does
meditation means? Meditation means to focus one's mind for a period of time
in silence, the scriptures explicitly instruct us, ‘thou shall meditate therein
day and night’ meditation helps us to know what God is saying in a particular
season in His word. While waiting in the place of meditation; you know God’s
mind.
To
move it forward, another way to wait is through PRAYER, prayer is simply genuine communion (fellowship) with the
father. Friends, we’ve got to wait in the place of prayer, the scripture tells
us “those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; they will mount up with
wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not
become weary.” To be a ‘whale’ in
our spiritual life, in our chosen profession, in our career, in our academics or
whatever, we must learn to pray, if we are not praying we are fainting.
Hmnn To wait, or waiting also means that we OBEY,
obedience is key when it comes to being a ‘whale’ in this generation or in any
generation. Friends, to be a whale you’ve got to be obedience to parents,
leaders, mentors, teachers, etc. in humility. I enjoin you to wait, to be a
whale, the world is about to subscribe to what you are loaded with. God bless!
