University of Ilorin, also known as (UNIL) Unilorin, is a federal government-owned university in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. It was established by a Decree of the Federal Military Government in August, 1975.

A statement released by SP Orlando Ikeokwu, operatives of the Divisional Police Headquarters, Shell Camp, Ilorin, intercepted the suspect during a routine patrol.

Ikeokwu said locally made Pistols and two live ammunition were recovered from the suspect. The police spokesperson said the suspect confessed to be the owner of the gun and said he uses it for his personal protection. 

 

The police spokesperson added that the suspect would be arraigned in court as soon as possible
